What the price means
The price you see on any Ecoverso listing is the out-the-door price for the vehicle itself. It excludes only government fees: sales tax, title, and registration — which vary by state and are set by law, not by the dealer. No dealer documentation fees. No "market adjustment" add-ons. No surprise charges at the desk.
What "Price Guaranteed" means
Dealers who display the Price Guaranteed badge have explicitly agreed to our pricing policy at the time of registration. They commit that the listed price is final and that no additional fees will be added at the point of sale beyond tax, title, and registration. This is a binding commitment, not a suggestion.
Enforcement — how we handle violations
Strike 1
Private warning issued to the dealer. The reported listing is reviewed and may be temporarily hidden pending clarification.
Strike 2
An "Under Review" notice is displayed on all of the dealer's active listings. Buyers are informed that a pricing complaint is being investigated.
Strike 3
30-day suspension. All listings are removed from public view. The dealer must acknowledge the policy in writing before being reinstated.
Permanent ban
If violations continue after reinstatement, the dealer account is permanently suspended. Their listing history is retained for buyer protection.
How to report a pricing violation
If a dealer charges more than the listed price (beyond tax, title, and registration), report it directly from the listing page using the "Report price issue" link. Include the listed price, the amount you were charged, and any documentation you have. Every report is reviewed within 48 hours.
How deal ratings work
Deal ratings are not a reward for listing the lowest price — they reward the most honest price. A dealer can't game the system by posting a fake low number, because the Price Guarantee enforcement catches that and removes their badge. The rating only means something because the two systems work together.
Price vs. market (IMV)
We compare each listing against local sales data for the same make, model, year, trim, and condition. This gives us an Instant Market Value (IMV) — what that specific vehicle is actually selling for nearby.
Dealer pricing accuracy
Dealers with a clean enforcement history carry more weight. A track record of honoring listed prices improves ranking. Confirmed violations reduce it.
Listing freshness
A price that hasn't been updated in weeks is treated with less confidence. Recently confirmed listings rank higher.
Condition and mileage fit
Price is evaluated relative to the vehicle's actual condition and mileage — not just the headline number. A low price on a high-mileage car isn't automatically a great deal.
Qué significa el precio
El precio que ves en cualquier listado de Ecoverso es el precio final del vehículo. Solo excluye los cargos gubernamentales: impuesto de ventas, título y registro, que varían por estado y son fijados por ley, no por el dealer. Sin cargos de documentación. Sin ajustes de mercado. Sin sorpresas en el escritorio.
Qué significa el badge "Precio Garantizado"
Los dealers que muestran el badge Precio Garantizado han aceptado explícitamente nuestra política de precios al momento de registrarse. Se comprometen a que el precio publicado es final y que no se agregarán cargos adicionales en el punto de venta, más allá de impuesto, título y registro. Es un compromiso vinculante, no una sugerencia.
Cumplimiento — cómo manejamos las violaciones
Advertencia 1
Aviso privado enviado al dealer. El listado reportado es revisado y puede ser ocultado temporalmente mientras se aclara la situación.
Advertencia 2
Se muestra un aviso "En revisión" en todos los listados activos del dealer. Los compradores son informados de que hay una queja de precio en investigación.
Advertencia 3
Suspensión de 30 días. Todos los listados son retirados de la vista pública. El dealer debe reconocer la política por escrito antes de ser reinstaurado.
Suspensión permanente
Si las violaciones continúan después de la reinstauración, la cuenta del dealer queda suspendida de forma permanente. El historial de listados se conserva para protección del comprador.
Cómo reportar una violación de precio
Si un dealer cobra más del precio publicado (más allá del impuesto, título y registro), repórtalo directamente desde la página del listado usando el enlace "Reportar problema de precio". Incluye el precio publicado, el monto que te cobraron y cualquier documentación que tengas. Cada reporte es revisado en un plazo de 48 horas.
Cómo funcionan las calificaciones de deals
Las calificaciones no premian al que lista más barato — premian al que publica el precio más honesto. Un dealer no puede manipular el sistema poniendo un precio falso bajo, porque la garantía de precio lo detecta y le retira el badge. La calificación solo tiene valor porque los dos sistemas funcionan juntos.
Precio vs. mercado (IMV)
Comparamos cada listado contra datos de ventas locales para la misma marca, modelo, año, versión y condición. Esto nos da un Valor de Mercado Instantáneo (IMV) — lo que ese vehículo realmente se está vendiendo cerca.
Historial de precisión de precios del dealer
Los dealers con historial limpio tienen más peso en el ranking. Un track record de honrar los precios publicados mejora la posición. Las violaciones confirmadas la reducen.
Frescura del listado
Un precio que no ha sido actualizado en semanas se trata con menos confianza. Los listados con precio confirmado recientemente rankean más alto.
Condición y kilometraje
El precio se evalúa en relación a la condición real y el kilometraje del vehículo — no solo al número. Un precio bajo en un auto con mucho kilometraje no es automáticamente un gran deal.
